First time poster long time lurker. Just purchased my first tractor and used quite a bit of info and advice from this forum. Ended up going with the L2501 HST.

I've already ordered a couple things from advice here - inner filter, right side fender handle, on the list for Hodge stabilizers. Anything else I should consider? I'm thinking of getting some teeth for my bucket pretty quickly but wondering if there are any other accessories that make life easier.

Delivery is Saturday so I'll post some pics once it's here.

Thanks,
Jon

Welcome to OTT and congrats on the tractor purchase.
Don't want to take business away from Mark, but you can get the Kubota Telescopic Stabilizer Kit, part number L8430, from your dealer. They might even have them in stock.
CLICK HERE to see them on Messick's site.

Primary purpose for my L2501 is mowing. Tired of fighting three point I got a set of Pat's Quick Hitch. It works great for me and will allow me to use my much narrower box blade, too though I will have to change the mount angle somewhat to get good alignment.

Since youre going to be pulling a mower a lot, I would look at upgrading the stabalizer arms. The L2501 comes with cheaper turnbuckles, with only a single nut on one side. I got my 2501 last year and these turnbuckles using my disc harrow will never stay where you put them. You have to get a wrench and tighten that nut down. Tractors with more comfort features tend to come with the more user friendly telescoping stabilizers that use a telescoping arm with a pin. They make an upgrade kit for the L2501. It will be my next purchase for my 2501. You can see the product at the following link. Also take a couple minutes and watch messicks video on installing them (its also in the link) - its super easy but the video lets you see them on the tractor.

Congratulations I have the same tractor and really enjoy it. I find the optional bucket level indicator useful and it's not that much, maybe $80. If you change rear implements much I'd go with the telescoping stabilizing arms or Quick hitch. Might consider a ballast box, Titan has one for under $300 with 2 tubes to hold shovel, rake, etc., and a receiver hitch. It's a lot more compact than using an implement to counterweight the FEL.
