When the tractor was delivered, it did have over 4 hrs on the meter; don't know if that would have been a contributing factor, but 4 hrs of idling or puttering around might be a reason though.
Thanks everyone for your input. I have learned my lesson concerning this dealer. It's a good tractor (I think) just to early to have any problems IMO.
That is what I was thinking. Running idle for 4 hours would probably build up a decent amount of soot.

Most with the L3301 or the 3901 will get that first regen around 15 hours. A lot make a huge fuss about it...I am over 100 hours and have had 5 of them. One of them I had while I was mowing...never had an issue just kept on going in fact wasn't even aware for awhile...

Keep the RPM's up and don't let it sit and idle (unless warming up the engine in cold weather before use) this will keep the regen's to minimum.

Just a regen tid bit.. The wife was snow blowing today on her L3901. Regen light came on, its been about 18hrs since last. 66 hrs. on tractor. She stopped snow blowing to rev it up to regen speed and it took about 10 min to regen. Just a note it was -27c outside today. That is the first regen it 's done at that out side temp and I was unsure how it would go but went flawlessly. Just for those of u who operate in cooler temps.. Ha HA
