Hi- I recently got a Kubota T1400H, in VERY used condition. It has a single cylinder gas engine, which I've gotten running. The rest of the machine is rough, but I think I can make it work- I'm a retired mechanic, and I've worked on all kinds of stuff over the years. Lately, I've been enjoying rebuilding small tractors- mostly big names like JD, Bolens, etc. Recently I got a Kubota T1400H that was in ROUGH shape! I had used a Kubota tractor years ago, at one of my jobs, and I always liked it. So I snatched this one and started on it. I got the engine running OK - (after some work!). It has what looks like a hydrostatic transmission, that looks complete and undamaged. I'm looking for any info I can get - especially a wiring diagram. Most of the wiring on this machine is hacked up and/or missing.
I'm pretty handy with electrical repairs- Any ideas where I could find any wiring diagrams? Keeping my fingers crossed - Thanks, Steve

Welcome sdodder - you can find a parts list HERE on Kubotabooks.

It doesn't have diagrams but does have part numbers for the wiring harnesses which you can use to look up replacements.

A search of OTT reveals that Kubota no longer sold harness as of 2016. I'd try getting my hands on a wsm. There might be a diagram it there. If not I'd not worry with any safety switches other than clutch needs to be depressed before starter will engage UNLESS mower is to be operated by youngsters or very inexperienced. Being that it's already hacked up, it would be best to remove most if not all old wires to reduce risks of shorts.

Kubota tends to wire things the same across similar models. So you can probably download any similar model manual and use that wiring diagram to get a good idea of what they did.

If there is some type of controller or relay that may be a different problem then. The manuals won’t show too much about that except for testing instructions.
