Hey everyone. Bought my first tractor Friday. It’s a 2004 Grand L3130. I live on 5 acres of wooded land with hills and gullys. I picked this tractor up with 900 hours, all service records and dates for $13,800.

I plan to get a 5’ bush hog and eventually a grapple. Really excited to finally have one and be able to do stuff around the house!

Thanks fellas! I did some loader work already and it’s awesome for sure.

I want to get a piranha tooth bar ASAP. This weekend I think I am gonna start building a ballast out of a 55 gal drum. Gonna do about 700 lbs of concrete in it. Should be enough to help out with loader work.

Gonna be my project and help work on projects for a while, but well worth it.

Congratulations on your Kubota! I purchased a grapple with mine and I LOVE that thing. From hauling logs to my splitter to ripping up brush by the root, it's a beast. The extra ballast will serve you well when you get/use it.

Got some high speed rails on the back of the box blade for box weight/ overall counter weight. Note how thick the web is. The one photo is of the slug from the holes getting cut though it!

You are going to really enjoy your new purchase. I bought a 1999 L3010 with a bush hog backhoe. Had 900hrs when i bought it for $12000 Canadian about 7 yrs ago. I made a plow for the front, and I made a set of forks for the front and bought a 5' bush-hog. I use it daily......have fun

Congrats. Great looking tractor. My first tractor was a L3200. Sure miss smelling that diesel when I would crank her up. New tractors just don't smell the same with all those filters on them. I miss that.

Enjoy the new tractor.

Built a carry all. Bought the frame from tractor supply, $165. Then got my lumber and bolts from Lowe’s, $100 or so. Used 1/2”x 3” Carrage bolts with flat washer, lock washer and nut. I had tried a lock nut at first but due to not being able to hold the head of the bolt... it would just spin the bolt when trying to tighten. So had to change that.

Starting with the back wall of it from bottom to top I used 2x10, 2x8, 2x8, and another 2x10. This put the back wall just about an inch over the top of the frame.

I used the same board setup for the floor. The first board butted up against the back wall board. I couldn’t do the floor first because it would not have allowed for the bolt holes to line up correctly.

It is 5’ wide. I plan to add sides to it and a 2x4 across the front for a lip to prevent anything from sliding out the back.

With time I may add a chainsaw holder, some other add on storage stuff like a small removable shelf, shovel holder, chain storage... not sure yet. Will adapt it with time! IMG_1266.JPG

Congratulations on your L30. I had an L5030 with about 1500 hours. When I traded it in, it got sold before they had time to prep it and put it out front.
