Giant drowns flying all around and there not American drones. So not one person in New Jersey owns a rifle ???(odd)
They might need to contact a gang member possibly.

A good shotgun with 000 Buck would take care of the problem.

I remember watching the Moonshiners.
Josh is out scouting in the woods.
Hears the sherrifs drone off in the distance. Runs to his truck and grabs the shotgun. Bang. End of drone.

yeah someone WILL take down one of them, then all hell will break use when the 'property of USA guv' sticker is seen !
hopefully 100s of pictures will flood the internet when this happens !
since nav lights are enabled, it's NOT a foreign spy drone.
pretty sure Amazon would announce if one of theirs.....

Shooting at aircraft is a sure way to get an extended all expenses paid vacation to the municipal BNB. Not to mention a hefty liability lawsuit for property damage and/or personal injury.

If the government is denying that they are theirs, no one is going to charge you with anything. Will the downed drone disappear? Yep, no doubt about that. Charges against a citizen in fear of their life, not likely. Too much unwanted publicity. After all, the official position is that they don't exist.

If it got out that they are foreign drones they could not change anyone with a crime since they are not supposed to be flying here anyway. It would be defense of country and the shooter would be a hero.

It is illegal to shoot at any aircraft. Hopefully you dont wound or kill someone in the process of going to jail.

  • FAA jurisdiction. The FAA governs all airspace in the U.S., and shooting a drone in flight is a federal crime. The FAA emphasizes that property owners do not have the right to shoot down or damage a drone.
  • Aircraft Sabotage Act. This law makes it a federal offense to willfully destroy any aircraft, including drones. Violating this law can result in significant penalties, including fines and imprisonment. Learn more about the Aircraft Sabotage Act on the Cornell Law School website.
  • Potential criminal penalties. Individuals who shoot down a drone could face felony charges for property damage, reckless endangerment, or violating federal law. Such actions are punishable by up to 20 years in prison and large fines under U.S. law.
  • Local laws and preemption. Although some states have enacted specific drone laws, federal law preempts these, meaning property owners cannot claim self-defense to justify shooting drones. Violators are subject to federal prosecution.

It is not an aircraft unless it has an FAA registration number. For aircraft of that size, it is law that it be registered regardless of county of origin.

Anyway, if you choose to shoot one of these down make sure that it is spread far and wide on social media and make sure that your first call is to the news media; both local and national. Be sure to include the alternate media too. More attention means more protection. Also, take pictures of the craft to prove that there are no registration numbers present.

The chances of registration numbers being present is slim at best and most probably not at all. If it is not registered it is a legal target in my opinion. I am not a lawyer so what I say is only opinion but I know what I would do.

It's also illegal to enter the USA without proper paperwork ! Though MILLIONS have.
Odds are real good they are USA government drones as
'they' have never denied it...
no flightplans or registration
fly under the RADAR
NOT 'delivery drones'
NOT foreign flying machines
NOT private toys

doesn't leave much left EXCEPT the boys in DC.

Excluding those in my beehives, all of the drones I have ever seen around here have identified as clay pigeons.

Look, I respect everything that you post technical about tractors, please don't disrespect me in my posts, even tacitly. Disagree with me if you will, but at least respect me enough to disagree in a civil manner and not in a passive aggressive manner.

Pretty sure he’s just stating the obvious because it is a felon to shoot a drone
down. IMO that’s not disrespectful. FAA classifies a drone and unmanned aircraft. That said, I personally can’t say they I wouldnt be very tempted.

Sorry but you are operating over your pay grade and attempting to legitimize and encourage illegal and negligent actions that could potentially kill or maim someone.

If you want respect from me take a step back and reconsider that proposition.

It'd be real interesting to see who comes knocking on your door if you happened to have one of these drones fall onto your land !!!
I'll bet my BX23S it'll be one 'arm of the government or a 'supplier' to them.
heck I'll make an open offer, my BX23S for an intact downed drone, delivered to my doorstep. One of those 6' or bigger NJ versions.

if the US guvment doesn't know where these are coming from, why doesn't the NJ GUVNER get the NJ Air Natl Guard to bring him pieces ?
If these aren't spy drones then doesn't the size and airspace require an ADSB & transponder sqwuack to the FAA ? Im a little rusty on the rules since I quit flying 2 yrs back.
