That's sure a nice looking mechanical steed in your stable! Especially with the front forks! Congrats! That'll keep you happy and busy for many decades to come.
Thanks fellas! Yes, 71 Nova, been with me for 21 years. Haven't even had the bucket on yet, forks moved some things around as soon as driver left. And nope, I fly solo, can't hardly punish myself for such a smart purchase!! The toys sleep in the garage, I sleep single in a king size bed.
Thanks Jefferson, I do hope to mini tub it in the future, some 315s would be nice when funds allow. 20+ year project, ought to be done about the time I retire!
Nice looking tractor! I will be picking up an almost identical unit in a couple weeks. What width box blade did you go with? My dealer speced a 72" but I am wondering if that's a bit wide for the power of the L2501.
I went with the BB1266, same width as the front bucket. I haven't moved any appreciable dirt with it yet, but went front and back widths identical. I also got the PFL2042 forks with the package, so it is all covered under KTAC.
The L2501 is a great tractor, Bill. It feels considerably more capable than it's power numbers suggest. The thing I liked best was the diesel engine growl and smell of diesel exhaust. All the higher horsepower engines have DPFs with no smoke, no exhaust smell, and are quieter.
