New grease gun recommendations please.

One of my 2 larger grease guns is over 50 years old and either needs to be repaired or replaced.

It's a lever style and I want another pistol grip style. No battery style please.

Is the Lincoln a good one? Any other recommendations?

I think most guns are fine. I use some old Alemites and a newer Mcnaught. Whats more important is to use a good tip. I like the Mcnaught tip much better than the older tips.

Mine took a dump a couple weeks ago. These things seem to not last very long. I went with a cheap harbor freight. A bit different as it has a constant low push of grease rather than the 1 pull for each squirt. Seems ok so far.

I have an Alemite pistol grip that is at least 40 years old that still works fine. I have another unbranded pistol grip that works just as well. It might have been the Workforce listed at Tractor Supply. I had to buy a flex hose separate for that one. Both are fine for normal use.

I did break down and treat myself to a Dewalt 20V when they first came out to use on my full size backhoe. It consumes two 14oz tubes per greasing so pumping that much is more than I care to do with a pistol grip. I don't bother using it except on the backhoe.

I have only had them for about 2 years but they have worked well thus far and seem well built.

My main "go to" is my Dewalt 20 V though, for when I am greasing the tractor with BH. Too many points to grease by hand (for me anyway)

I recently picked up a Hercules 20v grease gun on a super deal. HF had a sale to buy a battery and a charger for $99 and receive a free tool. The grease gun was regularly $139 without a battery or charger. The gun seems really well built and is better than the manual gun that needs three hands to operate.

I have a Dewalt 20v AND the Lincoln pneumatic .
I like the dewalt for the portability, I still like to use the Lincoln because it cost so damn much I am going to get my moneys worth.

The lock and lube works great so far.

THAT's a grease gun!

I run a rattle gun for changing wheels and two sets of spacers (regularly), so that's a quick tool swap and ready to go!

UPDATE: Oh....man the 1162 (about 3,500 PSI max on 110 PSI of air) seems to pump out volumes of grease, even on the one-stroke setting...maybe a bit much for my use on a compact tractor and passenger vehicles. A single-hand gun would give more feedback on how the fitting is taking grease, like the LockNLube LNL353.

I have DeWalt grease gun and it has work wonderfully. Uses the same batteries as my tools, so it was an easy choice for me.

20volt DeWalt here also. Came as part of a combo kit, same battery as other tools, works good for the multiple fittings on the B2601 and loader & skid steer.

All my grease guns are 50+ yrs old. They work OK but I bit the bullet and got a battery powered unit. It makes quick work on lubing up both Orange and my other tools that have grease fittings. In the event the battery unit fails, I have the manual units to use. My biggest gripe with all the manual units is getting air locks and having issues clearing them to get grease flowing.

Milwaukee M 18 here, have quite a few across the organization at work for our backhoes, skid steers, excavators and vehicles. I bought my own for the house and works flawlessly for the tractor, zero turn, and vehicles, plenty of settings to keep the grease in check.

For manual, the regular old lincolns worked great for years, but hard to beat the battery stuff these days.
