it would be pretty awesome to be able to toss a boxblade onto an excavator.

The clowns next door had a 'Hardy rake' style on a Roto-TilT. Worked OK, until they somehow snagged the wiring. After 3 hours downtime to get a connector it didn't work until I grabbed my 40 year old Weller and FIXED the real problem......

Seems like a bad idea. Forces more horizontal on a SSQA mounted item. A 6 ft box blade if it catches on a corner could tweak the boom or stick on a smaller excavator. On a larger one, the excavator would probably rip the implement apart. The widest excavator implement I have on a small 4 ton is a 3ft grading bucket. I could probably go up to 4.

What are trying to mount onto an excavator?

First purchase of ATI equipment. Heavy duty, well braced and nice welds and finish. Pin boxes are extra thick to take excavator strength.

Don’t have an excavator…yet. But does fit my M59. There is a few places I can’t reach in FEL man basket. Really hate ladders or scaffolding. Better half has been good at the FEL controls so maybe this will work. Outriggers help. Polesaw? Intimidator grabbing invasives between trees I can’t reach. Eventually want to add a SSQA auger.

Looks like it would be easy to add tabs for 3pt hitch to have 3pt to HD SSQA capability.

Will find out what might work.

Huh? You'd wind up with a broken excavator. If you want to grade with an excavator they make buckets for that sort of thing.

ya ive used them, but if your excavator can handle a 60" bucket, it sure wont be broken by a boxblade.

No I haven't tried one yet. What I really want is a tilt rotator with grapple and hydraulic QA for a 10 ton mini-x. That would be an ideal setup for that SSQA adapter.

My M59 BH has limited capacity so it's not in the cards right now.

Rototilt is one brand.....
Very impressive what a skilled operator can do with it, well, until he whacks the control cable, and shuts down the project for 1/2 day, even after the expert 'fixed' it...it failed until I came out to really repair it.....
Not exactly aircraft electronics(my formal education ) but I got them 'up and running in 10'.

Attached to backhoe yesterday. Attachment plate between the ears would hit the stick when fully curled. Notched the plate back an inch. Still hits but have over 180 degree curl swing.
I know an old post but been thinking of getting one. Either ati or rockhill. Both around the same priced shipped. How is your ati holding up? I want to use it for forks but I have lots of ssqa implements . Broken yet? Would you buy ati again? How handy is it

It’s a specialty tool that doesn’t get much use…yet. Used with forks and man basket to reach for some farm building maintenance. Don’t like or couldn’t use ladders. That particular job(s) were worth the investment.

Plans to also use auger or Danuser Intimdator to reach where the FEL can’t. Haven’t got the thumb lines converted to QDs yet.

Don’t feed hay anymore but it would have been handy to stack round bales in a pole barn built for square bales using the backhoe.

The ATI adapter is built well. Heavy in the right places. While I’m using on a backhoe, it would add versatility to a minix.

Thanks, wound up buying a construction attachments SSQA unit instead of the ATI. On my kx040 excavator. I have a 6 foot man basket but haven't tried it yet with that. Works great with forks. I have an augur for the excavator - works really well for drilling holes. Much better than a 3 point hitch model
