We just bought a bx2670 and its a awesome little tractor. I was out mowing the ditch and when your mowing the length of the ditch and the tractor is tilted to one side i noticed it starts to run rough. I thought it was the shaft driven mower deck so i disengaged the pto and it was still running rough and shaking and as soon as your level it runs fine. I had a full take of fuel also. Thanks

My first thought is fuel related, how many hours? not that it really matters......or a seat safety switch that is opening and closing ......

We got about 20hrs on it now i dont think its a safety switch of any kind. You can drive of the ditch side and as soon as the angle is less it smooths out.

What happens if/when your run down the ditch 180 the other way?

Welcome to BX fuel problems. In my case, after much trouble figuring why, it came down to a bad fuel pump on a relatively new BX. If yours is bad and if the lean is to the right, you no longer are getting fuel due to gravity from the fuel tank. With enough lean and still a weak fuel pump that may be the situation. Clogged filters also may be involved. They are ultra fine. If the lean is left, then I have no idea.

if i come down the ditch the opposite way it doesnt do it. So just to recap if i mow the ditch with mower shoot higher it does it and if i come down the ditch with the shoot lower its fine. I guess my kubota doesnt want me to blow grass in the road...lol

If the pick up for the fuel is on one side of the tank. Fuel runs to the lower side. One direction your starving for fuel, other way the fuel is full to the pick up;)

Hi, I encounter a similar issue with my BX2660. When mowing on a slope with the right side higher than the left it sounds weird and rough. Turn around and the left side is the high side and no issue. I finally figured out that the motor mounts must give some on that slope and allow the engine to move left and bang against the mounts sounding rough. You may have the same thing going on. This is on a dike by the river so it is kinda steep like a road ditch.

The pickup for the fuel is on the left so the rough running should be the opposite direction. And I despise people that blow grass in the road. I'm glad that it's your Kubota that wants to do that and not you (G).

Agree with kurtee above, I also have a bx2670 and the motor mount hits frame when running along hillside. Our issue doesn't affect power but just makes a knock sound and sensation felt throughout the tractor. You can take your grille and shroud off, go to the spot where the problem always occurs, set the brake, leave running and get off and check your motor mounts on the low side to see if they are contacting frame.

Seems odd, any chance fuel tank vent getting blocked. I have a small husky mower and mowing uphill the valve in tank closes when fuel hits it and engine powers out. I loosen cap slightly and its fine.

The public works put gravel and stones on my ditch, i can put grass on their road. It dries and disappears in a couple days. I dont put it on my driveway, though. I hate that.

I have the same issue with my 2012 BX2660. Metal tabs hitting the side of the frame when on a grade. Worse when leaning left. Sends a terrible vibration through the whole tractor. Initially thought I had a broken motor mount. Dealer said the fix is to epoxy a piece of rubber tubing over the metal tabs or cut the tabs off. It does not affect how the tractor runs, but sounds and feels horrible. I would bet you are experiencing the same issue. There is another thread on here about this. My dealer said that Kubota is aware of this.
