watching the weather Paul the blizzard we got yesterday, pales in comparison to yours,,
It's been a very rough day for most. We got 36 cm's plus those high winds then there was a fire at a substation shutting everything down. This morning there were 190.000 people with no power and right now there's 110.000.
Everything is pitch black but thank God I put the generator in with the shelter last summer. It's been running for twelve hours now and we have lights, heat, lots to eat and the most important part INTERNET :D

Hope all is well on your end.

Paul,

I know you love doing this as a hobby and not a fan of doing it full time, as it takes the joys out of the hobby when it becomes work. What's stopping you from putting a pattent on the deisgns and just sell the blue prints for them and let consumer build their own. You'd still be making money but working half as hard.

It would be like www.cadplans.com They don't sell loaders but they make money off the blue prints.

Eric I have a lawyer friend who looks after the legal portion of what I do. I have only shown the tractor stuff I've designed but the truth of the matter is I do much more than tractor stuff and it's worked out well for me. The tractor stuff is a different beast. I don't mind showing it because it gives me a scope on who likes what. That's why the web site. Right now it's not for selling but more for finding out what guys like in the things I do.

My game plan is to keep designing mods over the winter then with all the other stuff I've done I should have enough to go into production. If I start building and selling now it will take me away from my day job and my desire to lakers designing.

Once I'm satisfied with what I've done I'll either sell the designs or find a way to mass produce them.
Great question!

One thing is for sure, there is a peak intrest in everything you make. So either way you're bound to make money.

Thanks Eric. It's really not about the money. For me it's throwing a piece of metal up on the bench and seeing what comes out of it and when others are interested in seeing the outcome well that's the real reward. :)
