I am a new owner of a BX23S and for the hour I was able to use it I love it so far. Hopefully this is the correct forum. I was checking it over after that hour, while eating and noticed the ram seal (one to keep the crud off the ram as it goes in and out) on the backhoe was sitting at the eye and when I looked it was obviously broken. When I checked the others on the back hoe and the FEL, there were only 2 ram seals that were not broken, but they were outside the ram and you can see its dry rotted. They are not leaking but I stopped using it and called the dealer.
Is this normal for new tractors?
Thanks for the quick responses everyone, It does appear to be the sacrificial o-rings. So I guess I can have fun this weekend still .. It's a bit odd that when I sent this pic to the sales man they told me to stop using it and they will pick it up on Monday.... New salesman i guess.
