Just ordered a BX2380 today with the FEL and 60” MMM. it has the bar tires on it and I said I wanted the Turf tires instead. They are going to swap them for me. Did I make a mistake? I don’t want to tear up the yard mowing with the bar tires.

Haven’t noticed the R4 tires tearing up my yard much. Weight of tractor causes some ruts, but that’s not the tires fault.

Just remember dont try to drift a BX,,,lol,, really take your time however if the ground it really wet you might dig something up but nothing running back over it wont fix, just go slow on your turns and remember up and down your hills not across, and enjoy your new toy,,,, errr tool I meant tool :D

Congrats on the new tractor!!!! I myself have both sets of tires and change out for the seasons. You can always ask for the other set, if that's a plausible option for you.

If I wanted the turf tires, I'd buy them extra. I don't think the turfs will be the best if a lot of loader work needs to be done. If you mow in 4x4 it won't matter much if you're not careful you will tear up the yard. I run my tractor in 4x4 80% of the time.

I really don't think you'd need to worry about tearing up your yard.

I wouldn't have wanted the turfs, but to be fair the only tractors I've ever used with turfs were little 2WD lawn tractors; they just don't get the traction I want on hills.

I have same tractor and it was delivered with r4 tires- i had dealer bring me out turf tires. Much better IMO. I have 50 inch blower and down hill driveway- live in LES area and get tons of snow. Turf tires perform flawless. No extra weight on BX just me and Blower and LED lights. Its a tank and I rarely use the 4WD. On grass they will never damage in early spring and late fall when its soaked.
