Hi y'all,
I have a bx2200, and it's an impressive machine. It does though have a 54" mower. The machine can cut two weeks growth at full forward speed in high gear (no tach but i run it all the way up, then cut back maybe 100 to 200 rpm. My question for other bx owners is: do you folks reckon a 2380 can swing a 60 inch deck that fast? With that machine, should I stay with 54 inch? Are y'all happy with the 2380? I have not ruled out the 2680, but the 2200 has served me well (4 acres with small pond and some trees and less than a half acre of woods) . I haven't used the 540 pto, but will probably get an auger and a bx sized rotary cutter.
Thanks in advance. I'm going to be in bed after this, but I will check in tomorrow AM. I still gotta work!,

You must have smoooooth ground. I can't cut anything at full speed in high range without beating the dog-snot out of man and machine.

It is flat. I have to slow down over a couple of bumpy spots, and some times in front of where my pond overflows, grass gets thick and that there can definitely be low range.
Thanks.
