Hey guys, just picked up the new bx5455hd blower from my dealer yesterday and seems to be a few good differences between the old bx2750d.

To start off, the overall build of the blower is thicker for longevity and strength.

New side mount carbon steel skid shoes with three adjustable heights. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416546306.962802.jpg

New 55" width on the bx5455hd and same 50" width on the bx5450 for all you sidewalk clearing guys.

Standard chute crank rotator on 5450 and hydraulic rotator on the 5455HD. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416546294.229971.jpg

Better pto support design via a chain when coupling up to the subframe. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416546255.179251.jpg

Subframes from the bx2750 series fit the new style blowers as well as the pto shafts.

Overall I'm pleased with the new design and can't wait for the next large snowfall to happen!

I don't seem to be able to find the new blowers on the Kubota site...
Mind telling me the cost, including front hitch, shaft etc. for the 54" unit you got.
I've been using a 3pt B2781 blower, but it's screwing up my neck, back and knees from twisting around to look backwards. At my age, I don't twist so well anymore.

Haha yeah that comes with age I guess, I'm
Still a young buck at 26 and don't like using the rear blade for extended periods either. Total cost out the door at my dealer was $4350 out the door, a bit steep but I figured these things to justify it.

1. It's a new design of the older version.
2. Wider stance for my yard and driveway area.
3. Standard hydro rotator that I was gonna put on anyways on the 2750.
4. Better skid shoe design alleviating stones jamming in the impeller.
5. And it's an OEM product built specifically for these tractors!

thanks, Farmallguy.

Hmm, spending that much on a new snowblower might give the wifey licence to grow the 'honey do' list clear into the next county.

I just picked up a used TG2746 front blower/weights/chains for my TG1860 garden tractor for $500... have only used my TG for lawn mowing so far.
gonna see if that works on my 250 foot driveway. If it does not do well, maybe I can clean it up & sell it for a profit.

Not too many people call me a young buck anymore, I'll be 67 next week.

I'm also from southern Ontario. I don't think these blowers are offered yet in Canada. I just ordered my front mount blower for BX25D and the dealer inquired with sales rep to get me one of these. Apparently US only at this time:(

I ordered the hydraulic chute rotation kit for my BX2750D also, so will likely just modify to fit the new adjustable shoes when they are available here, or make my own...

Now where's the snow we've been waiting for??:D
