Hi, looking for some initial help/advice. Have recently picked up a B6001 (4WD version) in near mint condition but only realised it was a grey model after contacting Kubota (the UK service team gave me a very kurt reply!!). It runs really well :) with no obvious leaks or problems (other than none of the electrics working, but think is just dodgy switches) but conscious that it probably needs a bit of TLC such as full oil & filter changes, etc, as hasn't been used for a couple of years but as have no manual not sure where to start.

Can anyone give me advice on what lubes, filters, etc, should be changed (including what quantities should be refilled to if possible) and where the drain/fill points are for the front/rear axles and gearbox, plus whether the gearbox oil also does the rear hyd's (inc pto). All advice great fully received, many thanks. Richie

Hi Richie your Gey import B6001 should be very close to an UK B6100. With that in mind here are the details for an B6100

The engine oil 10w-30 3.9l
Transmition SAE No80 11.5l (the transmition, back axel, pto and 3 point linkage all use the same oil reserve)
Radiator 4.6l
Front axel case SAE No80 0.5l
Front wheel gear case left and right SAE No80 0.15l

Most of the electrics run off an couple of fuses behind the dash, might be worth a look.

As a basic start I would change all the oils + engine oil filter as you mentioned, probably the air filter if it looks old an dirty. Drain the radiator and replace coolant. You may want to change the fuel filter if it looks dirt and clean the bowl, but you will then need to bleed the fuel system to get the tractor to run so you may want to leave that till a bit later. The transmition has an pipe running from the pump on the engine to the transition case. There is an banjo bolt and behind this there is an metal mesh screen for filtering gear oil this can be removed and checked and cleaned when you have drained the transmition oil. If the transmition oil looks clean I would leave the filter alone but if there are lots of bits of metal and slime I would remove and clean the filter.
You should be able to get an service pack of a new air, oil and fuel filters off ebay.
I have not answered all of your questions but that should give you a bit of an idea. There are some good videos of servicing that vic did on this website. Regards James
