Evening folks . I just scored a Lorenz snowblower for my 3301 Hydrostatic . The chute has a hydraulic motor for aiming it . I don't have any rear remotes , but I do have the hydraulic loop in back for the backhoe . Is there a way I can use the backhoe circuit ? I've rebuilt a lot of rams but anything after that is new to me . I was hoping to down the road (in the spring ) try to get my T&T from the backhoe circuit . So anyone have any ideas oh how I can power the blower chute from the backhoe circuit ? I know I will need a valve of some kind & if I can add on to that valve for the T&T of buy the valve I need now & plumb the T&T in later .
thanks

I have a rear remote for my B2650 that plugs into my backhoe circuit. See post #21 here
It's kind of a bulky setup and I rarely use it so it's usally sitting in a cabinet in the shop. It mounts with brackets to the rops and is in the way for putting the cab on for winter use. I can get you more/better pics if you'd like.

I bought a Lorenz blower new sometime in the early '90s. It's gotta be close to 30 yrs old now and it's never given a lick of trouble. Built like a tank! But mine has a 12vdc motor for chute rotation.

Post some pics of your blower!! :)

I don't see any advantage to this placement. Just put the new valve in the power beyond circuit coming off the loader valve. Full time availability and works with or without backhoe installed. Also cheap and easy to install. Here is one on my L3901.

Thanks , I'll post some pic's when I get it off the trailer . Your setup looks interesting David , have to give that one some more thought . Dan I don't know about the hydraulic system & power beyond to understand how to do what you did . I'll have to go look at mine in the sun tomorrow . I'm pretty sure that I already tapped into the power beyond when I installed the backhoe & subframe kit a few months ago . Something else just occurred to me , will I be able to lift this blower @ 860 lbs with my LA525 loader with just a rear blade for ballast ?
thanks

Am I correct that the new valve you suggest being connected into the loader PB circuit should itself have PB? i.e. if the owner orders a valve he should order the pb option with it?

Yes. In the picture the two hoses on the outside are tank return and high pressure carry over to the 3pt.

Your backhoe is fed from the power beyond on the loader valve. This is just a question of where you make the connections to the power beyond loop.

To install a new remote up front all you do is disconnect the existing backhoe hose from the loader valve and reconnect it to the power beyond on the remote valve. Then run a short hose from the power beyond on the loader valve to the IN port on the remote valve. That puts the new valve between the loader and the backhoe where it can stay full time and is exactly how a factory remote is installed.

You must also tee into the tank return hose on the loader valve with a tank return for the new valve. You have to do that whether the valve goes up front next to the loader valve or is plugged into the backhoe couplers.

This plumbing is very simple and easy to do. Here is a before and after diagram. All you are doing is mounting the remote valve next to the loader valve and adding two short hoses.
