hi everybody I need some information I have a B7001 Kubota 3 cylinder diesel 4x4 with a shot engine they're asking $3500 to redo and I have the chance to buy a Kubota engine its a 4 cylinder 49HP diesel MODEL #V2203 Serial # OXN5711 CODE 1G608-43000 can I use this engine on my tractor will it fit my Kubota..I won't be able to thank you enough for any information ...johnny

How are you thinking you can put an extra cylinder on the tractor frame? The V2203 is too big, and a bunch of other modifications would be necessary.

That's a no. On the upside, those tractors can be found easily and cheaply, around here anyways. Saw one yesterday on CL for $1400 - Running, 3pt won't lift. Almost bought it for kicks... Also see them at auctions around here every couple of months for $2500 or less.

So keep an eye out for a parts donor - or maybe yours will become the parts donor.

Yea no, I'm a little crazy and would love to do a mod like that, but way too many issues, Front drive shaft, radiator size and fittings, flywheel size, clutch connections, just to name a few.
I won't even get into the ramifications on joints, shafts and gears that adding another 30HP to the equation would cause!

thanks that's what I wanted to know.. I wasn't sure my engine is shot and I saw one on craigslist and wanted to know if it would fit my tractor ..thanks again...johnny
