I was mostly wondering what kubota recommends. So basically "what is the minimum I need to do in order not to void my warranty".

Follow the maintenance schedule provided in the owner's manual. If you drop your tractor off at the local dealer with 100 hours on it for what you believe is a warranty issue, and the filters are still Kubota grey you might have a problem. Ultimately it's hard to say and it might depend on the type of relationship you have with the dealer.

Sadly, independent critical thinking and analysis is heading the way of the dinosaurs. It won't be long before commercial airline pilots will be asking ChatGPT what to do when they encounter an emergency at 36,000 ft.

pretty sure Boeing had a version in their MAX8s... code was 'it's OK to use one and ONLY one sensor to fly the plane'....probably read an AI online that said 'sensors are very reliable...

there's actually a lot of that 'thinking' going on,blindly sending commands and NOT checking that the action has actually properly occoured.

There are 4 hydraulic cylinders on my L’s loader, 2 on the grapple, and 2 more on the three point. Don’t have a backhoe but that’s still a lot of hydraulic cylinders for a little CUT.

Not much familiar with ChatGPT. Never heard of GROK. Biggest problem I’ve seen with AI answers so far is even if the answers are 100% correct every time (unlikely) you still have to ask the right question. Lost count of how many times one of the people I worked with asked a question and after we talked a bit the answer started with, “First off, you’re asking the wrong question because you’re aimed in the wrong direction. The answer to your question is _____. The answer to the question you should be asking is_____. “ Haven’t seen an AI that can do that yet. Probably just a matter of time.

I do know when Kubota spec’d the maintenance procedures they could have added, “complete these additional steps to drain the hydraulic cylinders if your tractor is equipped with a loader or backhoe”, but they didn’t. At least they didn’t for the L4701. If it was installed new with clean oil in it, I wouldn’t consider purging the cylinders unless there was known contamination.

If purchasing a used implement with hydraulic cylinders, I would purge those before attaching to the tractor’s hydraulics the first time because… See post #2 in this thread.
