V-Bar 2 Link 24-1200-12 ATV - UTV Tire Chains

It looks like the profile of that ATV tire shown in the picture is way different than the tractor tire that you have. The rounder profile of the ATV tire may measure 24x12x12 but I would bet that the 24" is measured at the center part of the tire. The center part of the ATV tire is much higher than the sidewall. That would make a difference in fitment of the chains for sure. The tractor tire has a much flatter profile. I don't think those ATV chains would work on any tractor tire just because the tractor tire has a wider, flatter profile.

I think part of the problem may be ordering chains for ATV tires versus tractor turf tires like armylifer said. The outside profile of the tires are a little different and that may affect the length of the chains you need. Go to www.tirechain.com.
Pick the tractor tire category and choose the style. They are cheaper than what you posted. Any questions, call them because they know tire chains and are good at helping.

Well. Bit the bullet and took your advice. Got a RMA to return the chains I currently have and called up TireChain.com. Spoke to them 1st though. Very nice folk. Will keep you posted as soon as they get in as they need to go on ASAP. Finally got a base down so I didn't have to worry about tearing out the stone and now this. Good times.

That's another thing that people on this site are interested in hearing about. When a member suggests a vendor they have a vested interest in knowing how you were treated.

There can be a HUGE problem with the size of the tire depending on the MAKE ( mfr/model) !!
I had two 5.70-8 'trailer' tires on rims, 5 bolt.....GREAT to make a 4by6 trailer. There was over an INCH difference in height ! Same rims, same air pressure( my first guess) ,ONLY difference was the manufacturer.
grr...still haven't found a TWIN to either of them yet..so trailer is on 'hold' for now.....
