need a new rectifier

hi there!
im new to the forum and the tractor world!
i do have a GR2110with a 48" blower on it and an uder belly lawn mower for it as well!
i have just got a B6000 with a bucket on the front and a scraper blade on the rear. it is in very good condition all around.
only problem is i think the rectifier is not working, i cant seem to find a new one! what options do i have? can they be rebuilt?

I agree with BXRAY, the old B6000 manual states it is a full wave rectifier. Not sure if it is all one module or 4 individual diodes in bride configuration. If individual diodes, you can remove each and test with an ohm meter. If an actual bridge rectifier module, you have to replace the entire unit. Not sure what the ratings are for the B6000, but there are lots of 200V-400V-600V at 25A bridge rectifiers out there in the online market. Some will be 35A.
The key is the current rating, because I have doubts a 25A or 35A may be enough...
If they are individual diodes, and press fitted into the bracket, they may be similar to older style alternator diodes. The picture from Ebay shows what looks like standard press fitted alternator diodes.

2 have their own heatsinks, the other can be bolted to the existing plate or metal dash panel with some heatsink compound, I can't see a B6000 dynamo putting out more than 15 amps.

thanks for all the info!
im sure the ones with four post and heat sinc will work! im not too savy with electronic so will have to figure out the wireing. 15 amps should do it!
every one has been a great help!
i know im in the right forum now!

4 wires, 2 from dynamo to AC ~ terminals, + & - out.
They may have only 1 terminal marked, + , the diagonal opposite is - , the other 2 are AC. If the corner is trimmed off at an angle it is + , the 100A one will be marked on the terminals or the +/- are as per the sticker, (closest to the sticker), AC terminals farthest away

have not read all the posts closely - but did you test the dyno to see if it is putting out AC?

This "appears" to be a combination rectifier and regulator, from what the OP says he is chasing, is a rectifier. I hope that's what he actually wants, or he may need what you have linked above.

I hope he has as well, but as he said "i think the rectifier is not working", I'm hoping he had checked it to make the assumption!

I am too! ;):)

Rectifiers can go bad, much like any other solid state device........but the dyno could be bad.....OR A wire from the dyno TO the rectifier could be loose!

this info is straight from the manual:

thanks evey one for the great replys. i have just go it a a short time ago and it's stored in my garage at this point. i havn't had time to play a lot with it!
i have an other kubota GR2110 with a blower on it. ill get serious with the B6000 in the spring. for now im learning and collecting info for then and will purchase parts ahead of time. you are correct on the dyno not a generator!
