I have an L555 loader that is recommended for light duty.
The grapple would give me a chance to pick up large rocks and stumps and logs. I feel like I’ll probably have to take it easy and make sure I know what it’s capable of without breaking it. I’m afraid of bending the arms if I lift too much with the grapple attached

do you have any comments

Knock yourself out... If your tractor can pick it up, the loader arms will be fine. Your tractor could have been equipped with the LA805 Loader which lifts more but pretty sure the only difference were larger hydraulic cylinders. Below is a photo of a small rock with my LA463. Larger rocks were twice the size. You'll be fine with a grapple!!

Just make sure you have enough ballast hanging from your 3 point hitch!!!

I Second the Catawba 55”. I have one on my L3540, got one right after they came out. Cody helped me out. Customer Service is also very good!

N.Y,
I also just bought a Catawba 55 but haven't tried it yet (waiting for new tractor ). I think it's one of the best compact tractor grapples available now at a great price and they ship really fast. Cody can answer questions about which one is best for your needs as you compare brands. I have some pics in the Catawba thread.

Thank you for responding to my post. I am going to buy the Catawba 55”. I’m gonna try to hook it up myself using videos. I’ll send pics when I get it hooked up.

Got the same loader on my 3560. If its too heavy, you wont be able to pick it up, no worries about lifting and the arms suddenly bending.

As far as total lifting capactiy, with my bucket still on, I can lift around 900lbs with no problems.

I say "around". Bossmans tiller I sometimes borrow is like 860 and I often move my neighbors old honda 12k generator thats allegedly 920.
