Today I pulled my glows as I continue to work through the electrical issues to get the glow system up to snuff. I found a larger wire with a huge female spade running between the valve cover and the water inlet radiator hose connection and for the life of me, I see no male spade to connect to - it definitely looks OEM vs a wired in add on - what could this be?

I looked at the wiring diagram and have marked the largest diameter wire with a green arrow.
It is the main power from the starter/battery terminal to the key switch .

If the wire is solid red then this is it.
If it is black with a red stripe then it supplies the glow plugs.

Bet you look at the end of the plug it's not a spade yet it's where two round connection go into, specifically two headlight wires.

Could be as headlights are non op! I will look close and at this point will most likely need to pull engine shroud to revealwhat I hope will be a couple of dangling leads from headlights

my guess... headlight power...
it looks like it's Brown in colour, has a cover over the 'splitter' where 2 males join the female, and kind dangling near the 'bonnet'. Also the wiring diagram shows it !

Great! I wonder where the headlight harness (male) ends are hiding? Do they drop down and pop out on the exhaust side of the engine or the air cleaner side? Hopefully, I will find them tucked up somewhere - flashlight time

well, at least I have the light switch and the harness running up to where it would connect to the the two front headlights. Missing are the bulbs, sockets and harness

Replace the missing lights with some LED fixtures and call it good.

Thanks Wolfman, I can see where a socket is pushed into housing and rotated to lock but as I have no housing socket for comparison, not sure what to buy that fits our lamp housings - are they somewhat universal? anyone do this quick conversion recently and have part numbers? Might have to pull hood and remove lamp housing and head over to a FLAPS to see what fits

I don't know tractors well, but I think you need something from this diagram, if not, maybe one of the other parts in the selector will get you what you need - https://www.messicks.com/KU/84574
