Last fall I was using my land plane on my driveway and running very slow when my tractor jumped and then had no forward power. Looking at the dash it said the tractor was not on but you could hear it running and I don't remember the exact phrase it put on the screen but something about the running of the tractor. Since it was running I sat there for a bit then at the suggestion of my godson I turned the key off and let it set for a minute and then started it and everything went back to normal. To this day my dealer and I have no idea of what had happened but it sure gave me a start at 9pm on a dark night in my driveway. Anyone have any suggestions or explanations?

My 2019 Ford does some of the same things, and the dealership says that they can't duplicate the problem. I keep bringing it in along with a picture on my phone, and they fiddle with it for a day or two and then say it is fixed. I even gave the tech permission to drive it to and from work, and it has happened to him. By the time he gets his code reader hooked up, it is gone. Electronics are weird when they go awry.

Intermittent electrical problems are the hardest to diagnose. If it has a computer the best place to start is to clean all the bulkhead connections at the module. If there's no computer start with the ignition switch connections.

There's a loose connection somewhere.

My 09 GMC started rapidly locking and unlocking the doors whenever I would let off the throttle 😱😱😱 Scared the ever living sh#t out of me when it happened the first time 😂🤣😂🤣

Traced it to the 100amp slow blow fuse. Bypassed it and it cleared right up.

Had a 100hp deere engine start throwing random codes last week.

Started wiggling wires and found a loose connection on the main power wire feeding the fuse block. That loose connection triggered a couple latched codes for the after treatment system so I had to hook the laptop to it to clear them.

You'd think the dealer's repair shop would have access to the list of every message that could pop up on the screen ? Some 'chart' ? Perhaps that 'diagmaster' or whatever scantool often reported here ??
At the very least the owner's manual should have them or a 'link' to the list online somewhere !
