Did the new pump fix the issue?
So far yes. I've only used it once to snow blow my driveway, but it didn't leak during that use.
It was pretty obvious the old pump seals were hard and worn out. The new pump did not spin as freely on the seals.
Regarding the stop leak, I've never considered those a fix. They're an emergency only remedy in my opinion, not something to use when I have the ability to fix it the right way.
