Here's how I'm fighting the snow these days; BX2230 with loader and blade, Grasshopper 618 w/ model 412 blower. Makes short work of the job most days.:)

That is the first zero turn of that type I have ever seen with a blower! Maybe I don't get out much but never seen one around here . Very cool! Does it work well?

I'm impressed by the nearly complete absence of snow on the concrete! Wow! What a team!

Great minds must think alike!:D My tractor is an L3301 and my grasshopper is 725K. I sure am glad they (and I) aren't getting a workout like last year though. Greetings from Ossian.

The Grasshopper snow blower works FABULOUS! The unit is so manuverable and with the skids raised up cleans right down to the bare pavement. The winter was SO bad here last year that in the middle of January I drove a hundred miles from home after work one night to pick this used blower up at the ONLY dealer I could find one. The Kubota was doing a fine job to a point, but I was running out of places to stack snow. Now I can blow it WAY out into the yard. I use it now mostly to scrape up the really frozen down stuff and to move the occaisional pile. The 18 HP Grasshopper is a little on the small side, (my friend down the road has a 725 that has a lot more umph) but if you use your head, it does just fine. Wish the heck I could afford a 721D with the Kubota engine in it. Fro65, greetings to Ossian. My mom is from Yoder, so I know that area fairly well. :)

The Kubota powered 721D or 725D are on my wish list also. If only Kubota offered something like their Z series but with a front deck system...

The grasshoppers are awesome machines. Maintained 3 of them for 6 years D722 if i recall correctly. Engines never skipped a beat,300 hours between the three. Hydrostatic transmissions-one was problematic, the ones with drive motors were much better.

They are built like a tank. After 1100 hours, I have worn out a few "wear item" parts, but I use and abuse the thing every way possible, and have yet to actually break anything. I have been mowing for three years with a deck belt cut all the way through to the outer band, and even IT won't break.
