Hello all,

I have been lurking in the background for quite some time, reading posts while I make my decision on tractor size/type/implements.
OTT has been a great resource for information, and the people who post appear friendly, courteous and helpful. Thank you everyone for your posts! I am sure more people than just me has found them useful.
After many months of contemplation, I just had my new toy delivered on Friday, the 26th of December.
I know how much I have enjoyed pictures youguys have posted of your own tractors, so I figured maybe others will enjoy seeing mine as well.

Welcome to OTT. First post right out of the gate filled with new orange pics, doesn't get much better than that.

When you get time snap a shot of your tooth bar and I for one would love to hear what you think of it after you get some seat time on the shiny new ride.

Fine looking ride ya got there my friend. I have been extremely pleased with my grader also. Mine is not the same brand as yours but looks very similar. Does a jam up job on my driveway at the office.

"MMMMmmmmm shi-neeeeee..." (CLAUGHHHHHHH)

Get an "orange" bottle of New Finish and get her all detailed out after you play with it for a few days! Two coats in a month will keep her looking that way all year and forever if you wax it once a year and keep it garaged. Spray down the rear end and underparts with WD40 and wipe off the excess. The wax in the mixture helps dirt from sticking to your underside. Dry silicone works too but it makes it a booger to paint in the future. WD wipes off with thinner. WD also helps keep the implements and loader from rusting.

Have a great time! Keep the loader bucket as low as you can when full.

That's a very nice machine. I too am interested in how you like the grading scraper. I've been thinking about getting a 48" one, but they are a little pricey and I usually find something else that I need just a little bit more. It's on my list though. The thing of it is that it would allow me to grade and smooth my 500 ft. of driveway pretty fast. Not much seat time in that!

Grading scraper is amazing! Makes things nice and smooth as melted butter. It has been raining here for a few days so the dirt has turned to mud and the dirt gets really caked up and sticky on the implements but the scraper has been doing a very fine job in spite of that.

Thanks for the tips! Being a newbie I am still a little paranoid so I drive with that loader low as possible. I have seen too many youtube videos showing tractors tipping over from weight in a loader that is too high in the air.

I also am very interested in what you think of that style of tooth-bar,, I have been heemhawing between that and a Piranha style for over a year now, and just can't decide..

The price is so close that isn't a factor, I am really interested to know if you are digging out any roots with yours

Congratulations! That is a nice setup you have there. From the green grass and trees, I can tell you are on the West side of the Cascades.

You'll have a lot of work out of your tractor.

For Bulldog and everyone else that asked about the toothbar, I will get a picture of it next chance I get. Though I dont get home from my day job until after dark.
and yes Burt, you are right! I am west of the Cascades. Too much rain over here!
I did some digging with the toothbar on monday. I dont have a backhoe so I used the loader/toothbar to dig a hole and bury a large pile of rocks that we have gathered over the years.
It was tough digging due to the many, many rocks in the soil. Supposedly a large glacier came through our town a few thousand years ago and deposited the rock. (so I am told)
Without the toothbar digging would likely be impossible, and the Kubota salesman who also grew up around my town said he would not want to see my tractor leave his sales lot without a toothbar due to the rocky local soil.
Would I recommend one? Heck yeah! if you are going to do any form of loader work in tough soil (rocks, roots, etc) I highly recommend it!
