This is my latest project a 1988 B7200HSTD with FEL when i purchased the tractor she was in rough condition to say the least but over the winter I have slowly put her back together. I need to finish a couple of things the FEL but it is ready to go on. I want to try her out yesterday so I put my finishing mower on and found out that i cant get the PTO to go into gear without grinding. I am guessing the clutch is stuck or bad. Is there any way to tell if the clutch is just stuck or if it is bad without breaking the tractor down. I can crank the tractor with the finish mower in gear and it works fine but if I mash the clutch the finish mower does not disengage. Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated

Great Job! My guess is that you have a stuck clutch. But I'm going to defer to the folks that know more about your B7200. Again - fantastic rebuild!

Sounds to me like the clutch is gone and you'll probably have to split the tractor and replace the clutch. Great job on the restoration. Theres a new member on here who just got an older L series Kubota that has sat for many years rusting away. Maybe you'll be the perfect person to give him some pointers.
