I bought my B8200 at the end of Oct. and took it apart in the beginning of Nov. For the most part, the mechanicals were in great shape but the poor thing had been sorely neglected in the visual department. The tractor had been treated to a couple of bad rattle can paint jobs by previous owners. The paint was poorly prepped and had very poor adhesion so I was forced to strip the sheet metal and repair it as necessary before priming it with epoxy.
The chassis was cleaned, brushed, scraped, degreased, brushed some more, cleaned one more time and finally called ready for paint. I used zinc chromate primer on any exposed aluminum and zinc primer on exposed steel/iron.
I used Endura two part industrial paint matched to Bright Orange II for the sheetmetal and Endura matched to the new ROPS dark gray for the chassis. Endura is very similar to Dupont Imron, very tough but absolutely requires fresh air supplied breathing equipment. It's also rather pricey @ $75 a quart. I don't mind paying for good quality paint as I figure it's the cheapest part of the job.
