Well, I have been using my cab quite a bit so far this winter and I haven't needed a heater or a wiper. It warms up in the cab just from the heat of the tractor and its sure nice not having snow blowing in my face.

Looks good! In fact it looks just like mine, except mine is build out of 1 1/2 inch angle iron and is in 5 pc. All 4 sides bolt together, then the roof on top. Makes it easy to take off after the winter. I used lexan as well all the way around but plywood on the roof. Didnt bother with a heater or wiper. Just being out of the wind makes a huge difference and is all i was after.

Any chance you could take a few more pictures. I would especially like to know where you bolted the cab to the tractor.

Years ago I too built a cab and had the same problem with the door getting caught by the rear tires. Worse once you install tire chains.
I found that the heater was much more reliable if you mount it below the top of the radiator but inside the cab. If it is not below the top of the rad you may have trouble getting the system to be free of air and thus the heater performance lacking.

bearbait: sorry it took so long to reply
I don't have it installed yet for the winter. If you look close..you'll see how it gets bolted on.
front: look at, in front of the door is a 4 inch angle iron, that i welded onto the cab. The 2 bolts are painted white
Back: look through the back-side window and you'll see that i bolted it on to the center piece of the fold down ropes, where the ropes fold. I used existing holes instead of drilling or welding anything onto the rope or FEL permanently.
The sides of the cab are all one piece and support the front and back pieces.
If it's not to late for you, i can take better pics when i install the cab for the winter, some time soon.

Thanks for the reply. I think I have it pretty much figured out...just wasn't sure on the lower front how you attached it. I'm thinking you made an extenion out from the frame where there are three holes to attach to. When you get it on I would appreciate a few more photo's if you don't mind. I probably won't get to building mine until spring now but you never know. Thanks again.

here you go
i took the original with the safety wire out and use a bolt 1/2 inch longer, since it has to go through 3/8 angle iron

Wow, those are great photo's. Unfurtunately the L3800 is built a little different. The last 2 pic's that show where you bolted to is different than mine. On the 3800 there is not enough metal there to bolt to. The only think I can think of is yours must have a mid PTO where as the 3800 does not, that's why yours has the extra bracing there. I can build an extension from the frame to come out to that point inorder to bolt to. Thanks very much for the pic's they really help.
