my 2360 bx engine speed began to slow down intermittently every 20-30 seconds and when engine is slowed and tractor is under load, it may stop the engine completely. Is this a fuel line problem or an electrical problem? Any ideas?

Its a fuel delivery problem. Change the fuel filter.

Check your air filter, fuel filter and petcock as mentioned, and if the fuel level is down, see if you can see any blockages in the bottom of the fuel tank.
Welcome to OTT, by the way!

First off welcome,, secondly if theres a petcock on the 2360 I aint found it on mine,, and I would surely change out the fuel filters,, Now have you run any Bio disel through your little beast,, cause if you have then it will clean all kinds of crud out of the lines and clog up the filters.. And you might want to pull the air filter off and check it too,, are you getting any smoke?

I checked all the above and without any success. It continues to do the same. And no it does not have a petcock valve.

My friend says that it may be the ball in the fuel line that pressurizes the injectors. He is basing this on an automobile diesel engine.

Any and all help is very much appreciated! Thank you.

A dumb question but what about fuel? Is it fresh have you added anything to the fuel? Have you drained the tank and refilled with new fuel?
