I just traded my L2501 in for a NEW MX5400 ROPS. It has the third function, two remotes, rear wheel weights, rimguard, rear work light kit and I got it with the Landpride SGC1060 grapple. I asked my dealer about getting armrests for the seat and they say they can't get them for the open station. I have read a few other places that you can get them for the open station seat but can't find a part #. Can anyone help me out?

The arm rest kit I ordered and received for the MX6000 open station has part number ZG1341. There's no image available but Messicks and others list the arm rest kit.

Kubota Accessories: SEAT ARM REST KIT, Part # ZG1341 (messicks.com)

And congratulations on the MX5400. It's a lot more capable than your L2501.

Thank you. I am looking forward to it. It should be ready in a couple of weeks. The L2501 just didn't have enough lift and weight in its pants to do what I needed. It was a good tractor though. The MX just from the little I drove it still seemed to be very maneuverable which was one of my concerns since my property has lots of trees.

The turning radius for these MX tractors is incredibly small. They basically turn on a dime. You'll love it.

Good that you're getting wheel weights. They make a big difference.

I believe it’s the bevel gear…if you use the brakes in conjunction with steering it’s impressive…although the shear size will take up more space and if you have a bush hog hanging off 10ft behind plus a loader out front that is even more room, but it’s almost unbelievable how maneuverable the Mx are. Aside from the shear difference in size my feels like it steers in same space as my B….feels not actual…it’s a bit bigger but you get my drift. Congratulations on the MX. Before you go through with the armrests maybe check if anyone has them and if in the way of the rear remote levels. I opted not to add the tests as it seemed like it would make a bit awkward to reach the levers…but I never found one to sit on to try that had the levers added…I may add later. Please update on that if you’d add the rests. Happy new year!

I've got three rear remotes and arm rests on both MXs and I would rather have them than not. I don't have a problem accessing the levers, even with the rests down, and they make the tractor more comfortable. You don't always have to put them in the down position if you feel they're a nuisance, but there are times when you don't need to access the remotes such as running a rotary cutter or mower or doing loader work and it's nice to have a place for the elbows.

Nonsense. I just bought a MX6000 open station and asked the dealer to throw in armrests. The dealer installed them before delivery. Go to the Kubota machine builder site and you will see they are a factory option for about $100. Seems like your dealer isn’t very knowledgeable about their products.

On my L4701 I used Tractorseats.com they have arm rest my seat had dimples in it for mounting didn’t do price comparison with Kubota.

IDK why the dealer had an issue with that. I told my dealer I wanted them on my MX6000 and he installed them before delivery. FYI, if you are interested I found a seat cover that fits these seats with armrests. Durafit model KU25. The Durafit website says that model fits a B series, but when I called them they said it also fits the MX with arm rests.

Agreed. Sounds like OP's dealer does not want to be bothered.
