Any one know of a after market clutch for these that are beefier than stock. mine has around 575 hours on it and just went through the first one
clutch was a little tight but the answer is yes a lot of loader work. originally noticed it burning some while digging holes to bury dead animals over winter. I think a lot of back and forth and digging frozen ground. finished it off by brush hogging new ground and pushing over autumn olive bushesThe stock clutch and pressure plate is the heaviest you'll find.
Been doing a lot of loader work with it?
Or was the clutch not adjusted properly and slipping?
Looks like it will save me around 6-700.00 im not aware that i slip the clutch but will def be something I watch for now.I would put a good aftermarket clutch and pressure plate in it (will save you a ton of money) and keep a really close eye on slipping the clutch and clutch adjustment.
Ok new pressure plate and clutch installed replaced missing clips greased everything and trying to get back together have bolts all lined up but just dosent feel right I feel like I’m forcing it is there a trick I’m missingLooks like it will save me around 6-700.00 im not aware that i slip the clutch but will def be something I watch for now.
Did you align the clutch disk to the pilot bearing or the crank?Ok new pressure plate and clutch installed replaced missing clips greased everything and trying to get back together have bolts all lined up but just dosent feel right I feel like I’m forcing it is there a trick I’m missing
I could not locate a pilot bearing on this tractor I purchased a clutch tool and aligned as best as I could to the crank. I also called my local dealer and they assured me this unit dosent have a pilot bearing. As for level Im working on gravel in a driveway so not the easiest to do. Wouldnt aligning on bolts do the same thing. And no I didnt remove the shaft. But tractor is in neutral.Did you align the clutch disk to the pilot bearing or the crank?
Do you have everything square and level?
Did you remove the propeller shaft?
You must remove the propeller shaft to put it together.I could not locate a pilot bearing on this tractor I purchased a clutch tool and aligned as best as I could to the crank.
