I have a new MX5400 with manual transmission and 91 hours. The tractor is at the dealer because on two occasions after mowing a field with a flail mower for 2-3 hours the clutch will not release when the pedal is pressed down. Meaning I went to come to a stop to grab some water and pushing in the clutch does nothing the tractor keeps going forward with no noticeable difference. I mow at 2300 rpm (indicated PTO on rpm gauge) in low 4th gear. I let the tractor sit overnight and the clutch engages and works like it should. The dealer replaced the clutch cable as it appeared to be stretched and the cable cover was separated from the metal crimp at the adjustment threads. Again after mowing two hours clutch was doing the same thing. The dealer has my tractor and states they drove it for 30 mins at 2000rpm with pto engaged and cant replicate the issue. I provided them with a video of what the tractor was doing to include the rpms and temp gauge all within norms. The steering has also blown the right side hydraulic steering line twice in last 10 hours. I don't know if this coincidental or a symptom of the clutch issue such as metal in the lines or over pressure etc. The dealer just called and basically asked if I wanted them to continue to troubleshoot it. Anybody have any thoughts? Im getting the impression they aren’t interested in trying to fix it or open it up to see if they can find whats wrong.
**update they cant replicate the clutch problem with 1/2hour of testing. They replaced the steering hydraulic lines with 3kpsi steel braided versus nylon lines. I am waiting to hear what their plan is moving forward. No call back again today.**
