Hey guys I have a mx5100 hst 4 wheel drive. Maybe someone here can help me with this issue I have had since spring. I was using the tractor to turn up my deer fields this spring and it lost power and died. Long story short I had trash in my tank and filter so I took the fuel tank off clean it and the bowl blowed all the lines out up to the bleeder valve and put a new filter in. It will run and do find but ever since then it has a little flutter sound at high rpms and loses power under a load so I installed a new lift/transfer pump on it still does the same thing. It might have help a little but I know it's not the same as it was before all this. It doesn't smoke and runs find bush hogging just if its under a load with a disc or going up a hill. This is driving me crazy!!!!!

Have you tried hooking up a new fuel source straight to the injection pump? This eliminate bad fuel or air leaks! Then after that, it could be a bad pump or sticky injector.

No I haven't tried that. I have ran several tanks and treatment through it. Someone told me there is a little screen somewhere right before injection pump that could have trash in it? I haven't found anything that looks like a screen.

Back when I owned a M4900 it had the same power problem you described. I was told by local Kubota dealer service manager to check for a plugged screen in water separator filter cut-off valve housing. Sure enough screen was plugged so I cleaned screen and problem disappeared. Also is fuel tank venting?? YMMV.

I'll check that out today when I get home. I did check to see if there was a suction on fuel cap when removed and I also took it off and ran it. That didn't help but I did check to see if it was creating a suction. Thanks guy for all the help hope you guys can help figure this out thanks for the input.

Had a similar problem at one point, same tractor (MX5100, turbocharged), turned out to be injection pump issue.
