FWIW, my dealer beat Kubota USA's "build your own" by about $2500. I am buying 4 implements excluding the loader if that matters. They currently have a $400 implement credit on 2 implements and the loader counts as an implement so a loader and $400 quick hitch basically equals a free quick hitch.

I went to another Kubota dealer and they were about $1500 more, but it didn't have my FEL quick attach.. I even looked at the green things, which were also about $1500 more and arguably less of a tractor.

I am in the market for a B2650, $40,000 with what I want.

There are 4 dealers within 100 miles.
The others have never responded to the "submit to dealer" request from Kubota's site.
One of those I called and they will get back to me Monday, the sales guy had no firm numbers. I wondered if I was sitting there ready to buy if that would be the same answer.

How does one go about getting the best offer without being an ahole? I don't want my name "flagged" in their system when I need service or anything else.

Attached is the online build cost.

Call each of them and tell the salesperson what you are interested in briefly. Give them a list of options you want and ask for a quote. Politely call back with a friendly reminder every 2 days until you get them all. This will also show them you are serious about purchasing.

I bought around five months bsck.

B2650HSDC
BH77 + 16***8221; bucket
LP 6060(can***8217;t rememebr number) grapple
LP 3rd function
60***8221; bucket
SSQD
CAB Radio
Forks
Loaded tires
Delivery two hours away
Rear work lights
Husqvarna chainsaw (free)
-not including k-tac which wa around $3k for the 7 years.
This is all also with 0% interest rate.

$34k

It was a lot less then the Kubota build your tractor price.
Which is why I went with a dealer that was two hours away instead of one 20mins away. Better customer service also.
Dealer is Steen Enterprise in Charleston, SC; sales guy Vince.

Well, they are not budging.

Basically I'm getting the scraper for free and paying list.

Called the other dealers and they are saying $500 off list is all they will do. I provided them exact same info to quote and they were higher to start.

I see that you are in Washington. Try this dealer. I bought from them. I have not visited them since buying my machine but they were great to work with. Of course, that was 6 years ago but I would bet that they are still good to work with.

They are on the other side of the state, but I will give them a shot.

Thanks

Wait it out.

Would it be safe to say he would get a better deal in the dead of winter?

It can be a long process anyway. Wait for the best deal.
I found a great deal and it still took Kubota a few months to ship everything I wanted to my dealer.

Not sure how long I'd wait to save $1,000. Can do a lot of work in 6 months.

Given the current economic climate with tariffs and climbing interest rates, waiting may actually end up costing more money. The best deal will be obtained by contacting several dealers for quotes in a radius from your home in a distance that you are comfortable with traveling. Demand for a model and availability of stock are major factors in determining discounts right now.

If we all just shop lowest price, service will die, and local support will die. I'm prepared to pay a little more for that. But they can't be taking advantage of me.[/QUOTE]

This is so true. I recently purchased a new L2501 w/ loader, backhoe, pallet forks, and a rotary cutter from my closest dealer (40 miles from my home). I took note of prices that some on this forum reported as well as advertised web ‘package deals’ before I sat down with my local dealer, so I knew about what a fair price should be.
He first cautioned me about those ‘packages’ being lower end implements that may not fit my needs. I already had a good trailer so I really didn’t need a package. After I explained my needs, he gave me a really good price on just the equipment that I needed, and I ended up paying less than I expected. He’s earned a customer now and I feel comfortable going back there if I need anything else.

I emailed them my info.
They emailed back to call them and I did.
Their policy is no emailed quotes, nothing in writing unless in person.
She could call me with a price.

Thanked her and moved on.

Waiting it out is not in the cards. I don't think prices will drop much and the current incentives most likely will be gone.

While saving the $1000 would be nice, I don't think I will lose sleep over it.

I agree, but then either have the online price "The Price", or don't put pricing on there.

New equipment sales can't be factored into service cost/longevity for the dealer. They need to be 2 completely individual divisions. Subsidizing service by increasing sales cost does not sound normal.
