As much as I'd really seriously prefer to keep my B7100 all Kubota, I can't wait forever to find a good used 1620/30 loader. So, I have an notion to buy a new Yanmar YL110, which appears to be about the right size. I'll have to fabricate the sub-frame and mounts, but I'm up to the task. Has anyone been down this road before? Any options about the loader in general? The specs on loader, for what they're worth, appear to indicate that the YL110 has a higher load capability than the 1630, so I'm encouraged that it won't be a disappointment in that respect. Yes, I'm going to remove the Yanmar decals from the loader.

D2cat picked up a massy loader and built his own subframe to mount it to his L305. Seen it in action a couple times now and it works great.

One thing to look into is adaptability for the bucket and attachments. For example, if you have the option of quick attach for buckets, forks, ect..... then I would spend the extra money up front for that feature. Comes in handy if you need/ want to switch from a bucket, to pallet forks, to front mounted snow blower, to grapple with ease. :D

A critical dimension is the width of the loader arms compared to the width of your tractor. You have to have some room for it to fit on the side of the hood.

Also how far does the loader reach after you have the towers located where they need to be? It can't be too close or, once again, you don't have the clearance you'll need. And, too far out and you losing capacity to lift.

It looks like it could be a viable option.

Mounting a no frame loader on a B7100 is a lot of work as you will need to build a frame for it and a subframe, but you already know that.

Also look at the pump specs, I would imagine that it will need more than what the stock pump can deliver, and that will require you to add a pump to the front of the motor.

Thanks for all the replies. I decided that it was just too big a job to tackle for now, I really need to get to work on the project, not the tractor!

Ended up buying a B2150 with a LA350A loader. And a B6000 with a front blade and a tiller. Figure I can use the little B6000 to push the dirt into the bucket of the B2150 in order to lift and load it onto my dumpbed one ton.

The B6000 had a loader once upon a time, so there is still a subframe with pockets for the uprights. The YL110 is way too big, I think, but maybe I'll build a loader for it this winter.
