Hi
I was wondering i bought a magnetic block heater and my pan is aluminum....

Can i use another place on the tractor that would do the same job....?

also does anyone know the size of the wheel lugs on this tractor....?

I'm kinda curious as to why your oil pan is aluminum. I'd be careful with the oil pan, could poke a hole in it or crush the pan if your not careful doing heavy duty tractor work.

Return the magnetic heater to where you bought it or put it on you TV dish. Get a coolant heater that installs in place of a soft plug. Heating your coolant will also heat the block, oil and fuel for much better cold weather starts.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but I bought a threaded block heater thinking it should be pretty obvious where to install it. I knocked out two frost plugs figured It was time to "ask for directions" so to speak....does anyone know where they may thread into the block? It's a 3/4 inch KATS 1909 -7000 which is supposed to work on my L2500 DT.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Search this Forum for similar threads, just recently. Similar problem.

Consult Kubota website for parts schmatic may show how installed if option.

Could your aftermarket have a threaded sleeve that fits into the knockout and into which the heater then screws?

I've had great luck with lower radiator hose heaters. Much easier to install and change if they go bad. Works fine. 2-hrs at -10F and starts with only a flicker of the glowplug dashboard lamp.
