Its my understanding that the serial number didnt reflect the year. Records werent handled as they are today. You will however find a wealth of information here on the forum.

Welcome from manitoba

I was wondering the same thing when I picked up mine in November. No one tracked serial numbers and years made.

Bet your next question will be about manuals, filters etc.

It's all here and your in the right place. Welcome from Saskatchewan!

Thanks for the info guys. It is a start anyway. My research so far indicate a manufacture between 71-75. I also found that the Model L175 is the clone version for the North American market which was also produced in the mid 70's.

One more piece of information I just found for those interested, my serial number plate also indicate "Z750" which stand for the type of engine and guess what...this engine was also used in the L175 manufactured in the mid 70's.

I was provide some free PDF files by a friend I made right away on the site that reference the L1500DT and would be glad to share them if you PM me your email.

Where in Canada are you from if you are willing to share?

Early seventies is better than my other 51 Ford 8N.

What about the working speed operation of your front loader? Mine is very slow.

Reasons for that could be a bad or worn pump, a plugged suction filter, bad valve.
Or it could be that it's being run off the factory pump which has very little flow to begin with.

I had an opportunity to use my FEL on Sunday I noticed that if the valve by the FEL controls is not set right it worked slow. Mine has a vise grip as a handle so along with the tach cable that valve will be the next change.

Also keep the revs up and things go faster. I need to fabricate a bucket level indicator to speed things up as well.

Just trying to help.
You'll find that the majority of sites like that don't actually have it. And if they make you sign up for something then they are bogus. ;) Found a ton of those sites and when you click on the link they drop you back to one common website  Be afraid..... very afraid!!!!:D:p

I know that! ;)
I just wondered if I was missing something, and there was a manual on there.
Almost all of the manuals that, that site has (and you are not buying the manual your buying a copy of it) are free for download somewhere out in the internet. ;)
