Mirrors on a BX, no FEL

Anyone ever put mirrors on a BX2380 (or similar) but did NOT have the FEL arms to mount them to?

I was snowblowing(front mounted) the other day and came a bit too close to backing into one of the cars (a few feet) and thought....OK, I was too lazy to turn around that one time and sorta lost track in my minds eye where I was exactly , but if I had had 2 big golf cart mirrors, surely I would've seen that car !
When I drive a car or my motorcycle, I am all about the mirrors !

-Maybe big magnets onto the hood? (though that's pretty thin metal and I am not crazy about scratching up my hood.

-long arms reaching up clear from the floorboards, just ahead of your feet - but I wonder how wobbly they'd be.

-mounted to the ROPS, but reach around towards the operator....I wonder about complexity, wobbliness and blocking the operator from getting on/off the seat.

I have to fold down my ROPS to get into the low garage--so no canopy or other ideas where the mirror is too high or wide, will work. I have just a few inches to spare all around the tractor (all dimensions/directions) to get it in and parked.

So, as you've gathered, I don't have a FEL (at least yet anyways....I might not ever have one....not sure). I do snowblowing, backblading and a little mowing.

Ideas? I can't be the first to ask this. Not everyone has a FEL, right?

Mike,

if you ever decide to place a canopy on the ROPS ..... great place to put those mirrors.

A golf cart top works perfectly...... and requires very little fabrication depending on skill set.

I was down that road myself ............ FINALLY had to build a shed on a side of "cliff" to keep from doing the same thing!!!

I made a custom 'top section' of ROPS, think it's 83" clear.
Wonder if 'mangetic' trailer lights from princess auto, could be repurposed? remove the lens, replace with mirrors ?

just checked... 81", garage door opening is 82"

My future project is to put a backup camera on my tractor and to install those little sensors all around the tractor that will give an audible sound when you come close to something, just like an automobile. Once I finish that project, I am thinking of a heated seat, and possibly a heated steering wheel. I want my tractor to have all the creature comforts of a fine automobile with a loader on the front and a backhoe in the rear.

hmm..wonder if the ROPS mtd headlight beams into mirror and back into eyeballs ??
SIMPLE to make ! just have to wait for gargae to warm up !!

I like the BX231 mirror setup. Had never seen anything like that.

Just ordered 2 Gold Cart mirrors from amazon and will fab some uprights similar to those when they arrive.
