It come with 3 new blades. I'll be looking into the chopsaw attachment next.
I have the same saw in a swag table.
I also have a HF clone I use if I need to drag it outside or use it without the stand...

The HF works about the same... except it sounds like a pack of wolverines howling...

For either saw, I found that blade choice is key.

I've been pretty happy with the Morse 811 blades......

I've never used a bandsaw as a chopsaw... like the gadget in your other pictures....
I'm sure it would work.... but I would go real easy.... if you start laying into it (pressure) you will probably throw a blade or dull the blade in short order.

back to the swag table..... the best option for that is to add a foot switch....
you just walk over a step on the switch and your cuttin...

it's also fun to watch the dog get spooked when he accidentally steps on it....

I spent some time today getting the base and saw dialed in "true". All fasteners got locked with Blue Loctite.

For $117, I'm real pleased with the quality of the product. I think the stand is worth the investment.
