Bought B1750 tractor with mover in 1989 just took off blade and getting mower ready to use and with the control lever all the way down only one of the four wheels touches the ground I know I have hit some stumps with the deck But there are no signs of damage and deck is running fine when it is ingaged but can't figure out why it will not ride on the ground?????

Your deck is a proper terrain following deck. The cutting height is set by adjustment of the gage wheels. Are all 4 gage wheels set to the same (and correct) cutting height?

If so, look to the lifting mechanism. Is the lift control stop set to allow the lift to lower fully?

Adjustment of the lift mechanism is well covered in the mower (not tractor) Operator's Manual.

Your deck is a rugged unit but it is not designed to hit stumps.

You can download the manual here.
Has instructions on adjusting the deck and linkages.
