Heeeeelp... Blondie here... I just bought a Kubota B7500 for a little over 5k (please tell me it's a deal)... I know nothing about tractors however I do have excellent DIVE IN skills... I can figure most things out... EXCEPT... where to find my manual!!! I went to the Kubotabooks.com and can't seem to find it, I even entered b7500 in the search. arrrrrr anywho, why am I looking for my manual? Well here goes: I got a fabulous half full metal gas tank when I bought the tractor and well... he neglected to tell me "hey, Doll there might be gasoline in there" So Doll (that's me) poured all that and then some diesel in that pretty little tank: Now, that could be why she (Kubota) started running funny and the glow plug light started coming on ORRRRR when I broke the gas cap (turning too tight) the fuel that spilled out when my husband was running it might have just gotten on everything. WHATS A GIRL TO DO????

Welcome to OTT Blondie. Why would he have put gas in a diesel??? That's a head scratcher.

I have to ask, is CaveCreekRay your husband? :D

GOOD NEWS GUYS... I fixed it... I didn't bleed the system though... I drained it... put in a new fuel filter, o-ring and cup (my goodness they were NEVER cleaned or replaced) and a new air filter (just the larger one)... I filled it with fresh diesel and boy was she happy... I dug a little hole with her just to see what was going to happen... no Knocking (other than the typical diesel sound) no black smoke everything was great... UNTIL I hit an irrigation line and had to sprint to the front yard to shut the water off AND then hit home depot to handle more business... it's been a busy day!!! PHEW its over.... THANK YOU for your help and advice... Oh yeah, is it bad I didn't bleed the system? and where can I buy tools for my orange critter (AND a new seat)? I figure I should invest in a couple since my husband believes that now I can do ALMOST anything:cool:

Don't worry about not bleeding - if it is running good it doesn't need to be bleed. Usually when you change the filters you get air in the system. If the amount of air was minimal it will just work itself out while running.

For parts you can try Messicks http://www.messicks.com/ or Coleman http://www.colemanequip.com/

Good luck with your new tractor.

Glad you got it sorted out. Go buy a different color fuel can just for diesel. Mine diesel can is blue, gas is red, two stroke mix is just different and marked.

I bought my manual for my B6200 for $9.99 on line as a download. My wifi will go to the garage so I have in on a laptop. The owners and parts manuals I downloaded free. I found links on another forum TBN I think.
http://www.tractorbynet.com/ or http://www.mytractorforum.com/ I can't remember which off hand.

Blondie,
If that address is CaveCreek, AZ, stay away from the AZ Kubota dealer. My guess is that being a blonde female you will get better customer service than the rest of us, but unless you have an large excess of money to dispose of, don't buy parts there. Run away- run far away.
Example: I recently had to do a major rebuild on my B7100 front axle, and I also needed a radiator cap also, so I got a parts quote from Bingham & Coleman.
Bingham's first quote was $1645. After I got up from the floor, I asked to see the prices- they had put a complete radiator in the quote saying "You can't get the cap without buying the whole radiator". Yeah, right. Without the radiator, the quote was $832. I bought all the parts from Coleman Equipment shipped to my house for $550. Last I checked the Bingham price for a can of orange spray paint was $21.80.

whoa... that is crazy... I did have a great experience at Bingham... even though there prices were a little higher (.75 - 3$ HIGHER ON SOME) than Messicks... it's funny, my husband said the same thing about them helping "sweetheart it's because you are beautiful" ... he has to say that though... he's married to me... I will continue to price shop and if it's cheaper i'll buy at Messicks... I want to buy the SHOP manual... I found it on Messicks but with shipping it's the same as getting it from Bingham... any other suggestions? THANKS GUYS

Mike,

be careful with your colors - Red is GAS, Blue should be for WATER and yellow for DIESEL......these are universal "colors" for the liquid that goes in them, otherwise the same thing can happen all over again.......;):)

That would be light blue or aqua for water and dark blue for kerosene.

You may want to get some diesel fuel additive to help flush out things.

It's the only off color can I have on hand and use it for #2 heating oil - hence diesel. I'll get a yellow one some day, but for now this'll have to do.
