When I was an expecting father 30 years ago, started this blanket chest. All Black Cherry.

Shortly thereafter, found we were expecting twins, thus the two tops.

The kids have moved away. The blanket chest has been in their room for years.

We’re looking at re-purposing downstairs.

The hinges are not good, but best I could get back then.

I did a pretty good job, a long time ago…..😎

Very nice - I made something similar 30 years ago too! Rather than flip up - it had sliding tops, I figured my first born would open and then drop on his hands!!!!!!! He would use it as a fort, when not a toy box. I am sure it has long since been gone.
