You can take it apart and lube the o-ring. When pumping are you venting ?

I’m not sure if it’s venting or not. I ended up taking the inlet fuel line off of the filter base and it pumped fine then and released all pressure on the knob. Then to get it to prime I had to bypass the water separator and went straight from the tank to the mechanical fuel pump. It still would not prime. I poured either to it and never caught prime. Then my primer knob popped up and it primed up fine and ran like a top. My guess is I had a a lot of air in the line somewhere. Looking back I should have unscrewed the water seperator glass to see if I could have bled air there.
