Depends... Are you going to do a "complete" rebuild and re-condition the crank and install new main seals/bearings? If so, then as with most tractors the answer is yes (since the clutch and flywheel assembly must be removed to remove the crank). On the other hand, if just a re-sleeve with new pistons and rings/rod bearings, then you could do an "in the frame" job and just remove the pan. Really though, if it has enough issues to warrant coming apart then it might as well come all the way apart and have the crank and clutch serviced while you're at it.
