Completed a full delete on my Kubota 7060. I used Reimer tuning out of Canada. They were super supportive thru the whole process. I have several items about the process which might help someone else if they are considering a delete. The tuners offered by the different companies are the same. It is made in Italy and is very simple to use. The tuners offered comes with a flash drive which has the program you use to download and communicate between tractor and tuner. My Windows 11 laptop would not run the program without some additional Microsoft programs. My Windows 10 computer worked perfectly. I can also offer some work arounds on the DPF removal which will save you time and skinned knuckles. I have some level of mechanical expertise which helped. The nuts and bolts are had to get to, so it is a slow process.

You’re gonna have some EPA bootlickers all up in arms with this talk.

The real question is, how good does it sound now without all that crap choking it down?

Sounds no different. I hollowed out part of the DPF and replaced the main filter with a spacer I bought on line. If anything, it has a deeper, more “throaty” sound. The particulate filter is very much like a catalytic converter on modern day cars and was not hard to break out clean. I think I’m gonna be happy with the results.

How much did the complete process cost?

Looks like you will not go to jail, at least for the next couple of years.

For anyone interested in going down this path, I'd strongly suggest not gutting the DPF but rather buying an exhaust tubing kit from Amazon and replacing the DPF since the DPF is very expensive and could be sold if no longer needed. There's the option to run a straight pipe (kind of loud) or adding in a straight through muffler too which makes the exhaust note very pleasant. You will hear more turbo though with a straight pipe and straight muffler.

Also, you can opt for a hp upgrade with a +20% hp tune being available. Getting rid of the DPF picks up about 5hp, and with the 20% tune an M6060 can end up with around 82hp and noticeably more power and less fuel consumption, not to mention no regens.

I call this the short stack. :)

Here's the factory exhaust set up. I like the look of vertical exhaust stacks, but I prefer the shorter version on my M6060.

The DPF is consists of four seperate pieces. The Amazon spacer replaces the main particulate filter, but the section that is attached to the turbo manifold has to tbe knocked out. It was easy to do. When you look at it, it's a wonder the engine gets any air!!

Hopefully you have a cab so you don’t have to suck old style diesel exhaust.

So you gutted a piece that costs over $4,700?! The schematic for the DPF system shows three pieces. A is the catalytic converter ($4,716), B is the DPF ($1,994) and C is what Kubota calls the outlet kit ($689) so almost $7,400 all told.

The DOC, which you are referring to, is exhaust, so it has little to do with getting air.

The turbo feeds air into A. The spacer replaces part B. Both A&B have ceramic filter media. If you don’t clean it out of A, you are defeating what you are trying to do with the delete.

So what you gutted is the DOC which is a pass through element. IT is straight through and not a filter so it does not plug unless you have excess particulate matter causing it to face plug.

Yep, and it doesn't make any sense to me to destroy such an expensive piece. I doubt that there's $4,700 of Pt in that thing. Mine is sitting on the shelf in the garage bolted to the rest of the system.

Personally, I *think* I'd keep the catalytic converter in the system or put a high-flow cat on if the OEM wasn't flowing enough air, but with the DPF after it I can't see how it wouldn't flow enough air when removing the DPF (but I'm certainly no expert).

Funny how AI has changed DPF to PDF, DOC, something else in people's posts. I really, really dislike how AI in my high-end phone has gotten far worse over the years--I just caught a post where it changed is to "it" and made the sentence not only sound stupid, but gramedically (<-serioiusly AI? WTF) grammatically incorrect.

AI, at this time at least, has resulted in all kinds of inaccurate posts. For example, I frequently browse popular sites and sometimes click on "articles" about classic cars, etc. The number of errors, even incorrect photos, is absolutely astonishing. Such errors were rare even a couple of years ago as such articles were written by human beings, most of whom knew about what they were writing. Today, entities use AI to generate "articles" for click bait without regard to accuracy. Sad.

Google AI is just a automated garbage in garbage out search engine prone to errors but that response is 100% accurate. Warfarin (Coumaden) is one example. There's half a bottle sitting on my nightstand.

Warfarin first came into large-scale commercial use in 1948 as a rat poison.[15][16] It was formally approved as a medication to treat blood clots in humans by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 1954.[11] In 1955, warfarin's reputation as a safe and acceptable treatment for coronary artery disease, arterial plaques, and ischemic strokes was bolstered when President Dwight D. Eisenhower was treated with warfarin following a highly publicized heart attack.[17] It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines.[18] Warfarin is available as a generic medication[19] and is sold under many brand names.[1] In 2023, it was the 116th most commonly prescribed medication in the United States, with more than 5 million prescriptions.[20][21]
