My 2007 M7040 has been trouble free until now. When I lift a heavy implement with the 3 point, it slowly drifts down and then automatically picks back up. If I close the flow control valve on the floor under the seat, of course it doesn't drift down. The tractor up to date on all service. Thank you for your help.

Have you made sure that the draft control lever is all the way disengaged? It is the handle between the seat and the 3PH lift lever. Right next to the 3PH lever. Make sure it is all the way forward.

To further disengage the draft control you can move the top link attachment point to the top-most hole on the draft control plate.

Might work, might not.

Agreed, check the draft control.

The draft control lever is all the way forward.
OK, that factor is out of the way.

Now try attaching your top link to the topmost hole of the three choices.

If that doesn't work then you can try disconnecting the draft control lever arm that is on the plate that has the three holes to see if that relieves the problem.

The reason it sounds like it is a draft control issue is that your description sounds just like the functioning of the feature.

This is NOT the draft control lever arm. It is the 3PH height/relief valve lever. Don't mess with it unless you want to alter the range of the 3PH. I don't have a photo of the draft control lever (yet).
