Sounds like it was cutting out some cylinders. Kind of surprised it ran at all. Pretty disturbing sound to hear on startup.

That’s one of the things I really like about forums like this one (although that was a YouTube connection), the shared knowledge is incredibly valuable. Pretty cool you were able to turn what sounded like a major problem into a minor issue.

Yup, pretty cool to be able to help someone save some money and get back on their Kubota... :)

Unknown to me, the main hydraulic hose feeding the backhoe on my 680CK was pulled loose by a vine. I stopped for lunch, and when I tried to start the loader this same thing happened. The dead headed hydraulic pump wouldn't allow the 268 cubic inch Case diesel to get above a fast crank. Probably once in a lifetime experience, but not one you are likely to forget.

Hint - Try posting your solution here on this forum instead of expecting users to exit this site and go onto youtub to try and figure out what you are talking about. The embedded link just shows a video of a question being asked and no answers anywhere.

Right now your post looks like nothing but click bait to lure viewers off the site.

The answer was in the discussion in the Comments section of the YouTube video. It’s an unnecessarily circuitous route to get there. In the interest of future readers, short summary below.

Scenario: Operator error in recent attachment swap caused hydraulic pump deadhead condition.
Symptom: Performance documented in video.
Solution: Review hydraulic connections and valve positions to correct hydraulic pump deadhead condition.

For more detailed info, read the Comments section of the YouTube video.
