My headlight and work light plus the radio has quit. Have checked the main fuses out under the hood all appears to be good. Fuse under the dash are good but isn’t getting power on either side of the leg.
Yes it is a cab tractor. Fuse is not bad. I can stick a test light on the leg that the fuse sticks I. And there isn***8217;t any power there. Or stick on the test places on the fuse with it plugged in. My radio doesn***8217;t work neither but have power at that fuse but no power at the plug at the radio. This evening I pulled the panel off we***8217;re the rocker switches are for the work lights. I took a jumper wire and jumped from the hot of the windshield wipers plug over to the power to the work light switch and my lights came on. But the crazy part my regular headlights came on also with the headlight switch off. Wonder if got the wires that have rubbed together inside the wiring harnesses some were. But would think it would shoot the fuse on the windshield wiper that I jumped off I work on a lot of different stuff all the time but my tractor has gotten my stomped
I pulled that panel off under the seat yesterday but didn’t find any relays there but did find some behind the panel beside the right knee. 2 fuses and 2 breakers. But thought the way the wires going from them was going down towards the a/c but mightn’t be. Trying anything
Yes the windshield wipers are working but never use them because don’t want to scratch the windows. that’s why I’m thinking about stealing power off them at the toggle switch and running new LED work lights. The ignition switch is also getting power off each leg of it including the starter wire when turn key over to start
Please look over the attached. The relays need to be ruled out. Perhaps my description of their location was not the best. From the first illustration, to me, they are under the seat near where the rear remote cables exit to the rear of the tractor.
The relays can be swapped around to see if there is a problem with one relay.
