I just purchased a new M5-111 hdc24 and 10 minutes of shredding produced a shattered lower rear window. It looks like I simply need to glue new one in place?..if so what product is suggested?..thks
Do you have KTAC insurance on it?I just purchased a new M5-111 hdc24 and 10 minutes of shredding produced a shattered lower rear window. It looks like I simply need to glue new one in place?..if so what product is suggested?..thks
No..bought farm bureau insurance but may switch if this keeps up..hahaDo you have KTAC insurance on it?
Thks…every bit of info. helpsMaybe there’s something different about Kubota tractors and if so, I’m open to correction. However, auto glass replacement and equipment cab glass replacement, in my experience, requires a urethane adhesive sealant specifically made for the task. (Just an example; not a specific recommendation.)
Remove old glass, clean off old sealant thoroughly, follow any other directions on the urethane adhesive, “clamp” new glass in place with strips of tape oriented perpendicular to the joint. Remove tape after about 24 hours.
Thks so much for the info. White TigerThe glass is mounted using urethane.
Before you install the glass, put a line with a marker down the center line. Put a mark on the cabin at the center line so that when you are laying the glass onto the adhesive, you can position the glass.
It is very annoying to be standing on the drawbar, the upper part of your body hanging into the cabin through the rear window trying to see that the new glass is covering the opening. If you miss, you get to clean the urethane off the glass and cabin so you can try again.
